Because the user sits close and touches the screen constantly, the differentiators are physical rather than visual: the touch technology and how it behaves with a gloved hand or a stylus, the glass and its tolerance of cleaning agents, the stand or mounting arrangement — desktop stand, VESA arm, panel mount or through-counter — and the port set, since many of these screens take power and touch data from a host PC.
In Oman these are the screens behind reception desks in government service centres, at hospital admission and pharmacy counters, in hotel check-in and F&B stations, and on university lab benches.
